Day one: Arrival - Entebbe -Kampala - 42km.

Following breakfast, you will leave Kampala for Kibale Forest National park reaching in the afternoon.
Kibale Forest is a large conserved block of rainforest, which has the greatest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. In the afternoon, you will go for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest returning in the evening. Seeing the way our %u201Ccousins%u201D feed, climb trees, react to humans, caring for the young ones is a very interesting experience.

Day Three: Kibale Forest.
During the early hours of the day, you will head for chimp tracking and be a participant in the habituation team that goes to learning the behavior of these primates so as to make them get accustomed to human beings. The park has numerous tourist tracks that are help during the game drives. Impala track brings to view the tourist to various species. DAY 02 : Cross the placid Victoria Nile to the northern bank. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, Hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor Reedbuck, Hyena and if you are lucky, the Leopard. After a packed lunch picnic, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron". DAY 04 : Early morning search for Chimpanzee and 10 other primates including l'hoestes, red Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed and Gray-cheeked Mangabey.Uganda hotels  The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.

DAY 05 : Drive west to the fabulous Semliki Valley for two nights in the place considered best birding area in Uganda and probably in Africa. Semliki Wildlife Reserve is a wild and extremely beautiful area of tall grass, dotted with groves of Borassus palms and spreading tamarind trees. Chimp tracking and the night drives are also as spectacular.

DAY 06 : Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve is also home to a variety of Wildlife; Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard, Bushbuck, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Duiker, Uganda Kob, Forest Hog, Warthog, Vervet Monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys, Colobus Monkeys and over three hundred species of birds. Semliki has a number of trails, both for driving and walking. The trails in the forest are ideal for Chimpanzee tracking, as they are currently being habituated through a joint project between Semliki Safari Lodge and the University of Indiana's Anthropology Department.Tanzania holidays  Semliki Safari Lodge has two fishing boats and the trip on Lake Albert is incredible - the escarpment, streaked with waterfalls, plunges from dizzling heights straight into the lake. Murchison Falls National Park.
Have breakfast and then our guide  will pick you up and take you  to Murchison falls national park through Masindi or Hoima. The park is found in the northwestern part of Uganda, 90km from Masindi town. It is the largest among all national parks in Uganda.Kenya safari  It shelters a variety of untamed African savannah and many  of the tourists that visit National parks in  Uganda have noticed that it is the best safari destination in the  country . This  National Park got its name from the dramatic Murchison Falls which are found within the park. These falls are spectacular and are formed at a point where the world's longest river explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a river.It's banks are thronged with hippos, crocodiles,waterbucks and buffalloes. The vegetation is characterised by Savannah, riverine forest and woodland. Lrage mammals in this area include lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs, chimpanzees. It has 450 bird species and 76 mammal species. The Murchison falls National Park together with Bugungu and Karuma Falls Wildlife Reserves form the Murchison Falls Protected Area.
Alot of wildlife was hunted down in the 1970s and 1980s, but animal populations have largely recovered for instance from the lush borassus grassland to the north of the Nile, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and a variety of antelopes are regularly encountered on game drives,Gorilla Tour Uganda Rwanda  while lions are seen with increasing frequency.

Game drive / Boat ride
In the morning before dawn you will go for a game drive through the park searching for predators and other game. The drive will reward you with game like Hyenas,Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda   Leopards, elephants, hartebeests, Oribis, Uganda Kobs, giraffes to mention.  In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile that takes you to the bottom of the falls. The ride will reward you with game like Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and plenty of birds like the Kingfishers.

 Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Early in the morning you will have breakfast and then drive off to Queen Elizabeth National Park The drive will take you to one of the towns for lunch and then reach the park in the evening. The park is located in the south western part of Uganda and covers an area of 1,978 sq km. Bwindi National Park Uganda  This is the most popular national park in Uganda with abundant game and attracts thousands of tourists interested in viewing big game. Its vegetation which varies from open savannah to rainforest, from dense papyrus swamps and brooding crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward, make it a little wonder that it is the highest biodiversity conservation game reserve in the world. Queen Elizabeth National park has over 100 mammalian species and  606 bird species. This makes it the best safari destination in Uganda with big herds of elephants, a profusion of hippos, the elusive giant forest hog and handsome Uganda knob which are all regularly sighted around the tourist village on the Mweya Peninsula.

 Game drive / Boat ride of Kazinga channel.
Take an early morning cup of coffee or tea to warm up and  then set off to the park tracks for a game drive. You will be able to see predators as they retune to their hide outs and the early risers. During the drive watch out for game like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others.Kibale National Park Uganda  After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast and then later have lunch to transfer to the Park headquarters for the Boat ride. The launch that takes you along the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes George and Edward will reward you with game like Hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. At times when tourists arrive here, they are usually fatigued. For those who rare unable to complete the expedition or are not interested in climbing Margherita peak because of un called for altitude sickness and fog making them less energetic, there is a chance of proceeding left through Scott Elliot pass to Kitandara lake. This will lead you to marvelous scenery and at last link you to a two day downhill stretch. For those who will want to continue, they will hike up to the summit of Margherita (5109m);Uganda safari here crampons and roping up may be necessary. Then move down to Kitandara hut and Stay here.(4023m).


Following some energy giving breakfast, move down to Gae Yeoman through a steep but pleasurable hour-long climb from the bottom of Mt. Baker. On a bright day one may also have a view at the Democratic Republic of Congo on the west of Mt. Stanley. The descending is carried on to Bujangolo rock shelters; the bottom camp for the historic adventure by Duke Abruzzi in 1906. Participants are advised to start their journey early enough in order to reach Nyabitaba hut prior to darkness, because this path can be some how taxing in some spots. However move down slowly facing the slope instead of outward is the best alternative. Wake up early in the morning and continue to the green cloaked and misty mountains to search for the world%u2019s endangered primate. The rainforest will scare you as you first listen to the breaking of bamboo informing the group is not fur and afterwards you will see one of the most charming and captivating creatures in the world. Following an hour%u2019s encounter with the apes, you will return to camp, where you will fall into bed after a tiresome day.


Early morning we will go through the meandering and winding roads, and lake punctuated countryside, prior to emerging on to the lower thorn and savannah scrub lands of Lake Mburo National Park. Zebra, buffalo, Ugandan Kob and many other species found in this stunning park, where we camp the night along side a lake, where hippos are likely to come and feed around your tent tonight.


Imagine a walk through wild, wild Africa? During this morning we will take a walking safari, guided by a ranger, so we are able to get near and personal on ground level to many of the attractive and free animals of the park. In the evening today, we will travel back to Kampala and Jinja and the conclusion of your Best of the West safari.
 

Following breakfast we will cross to Kyevu. We will give a temporary farewell to our canoe captains and embark on a day of trekking. The first hour will be fully spent near a pretty, extensive swamp. We will run into a Batwa tribe who try to earn some money carrying heavy loads to the market. Just prior to reaching the border with Rwanda we will come across a steep slope that rises into Karembe Hill. Uganda safari Climbing this hill we will take pleasure in a great view at Bunyonyi and the volcano Muhavura.
Following a picnic lunch we will get down gradually and stop for a meeting with local woman who run a craft shop. Our dugouts will be waiting at Bufundi peninsula and take us to Habukomi Island for overnight.

 CANOE TREKKING

Habukomi is the lake hideaway for pelicans, so we will tour these birds %u2018site very soon after breakfast. Afterwards, we will move closer to Upside Down Island to listen to its witchcraft legend.gorilla safari Uganda  An additional hour and a half in the canoes will help us return to our home bay, Uganda tour but we will have one final stop - to take pleasure in the delicious cosine of Nature's Prime Island.
